Binge with our freshest ideas on how we have come up with everything; from picking the GAMABA artist of our choice, the theme, the distribution of task, and our very own creative contributions-- all lead us to produce this wonderful site, the "DREAMWEAVER".

Why Lang Dulay?

In these times that technology evolves tremendously fast that weaving might not be a thing anymore, Lang Dulay kept their culture and traditions alive. Her works are incredible but most of all, her heart is awe-inspiring. Awardees are artists who have manifested willingness to share their rare skill with others, especially younger members of their community.

She’s popular yet brilliant as she made sure that it is embedded in each one’s memory and so it wouldn’t be easily forgotten even if she couldn’t do weaving anymore. Lang Dulay set up the manlilikha ng bayan center workshop in her hometown to promote the traditional art of T’nalak weaving. Through weaving, she influenced others to dream and achieve by resulting in significant artistic contributions in Philippine art.

The reason why our group picked Lang Dulay as the artist that we want to feature for our virtual exhibit is because compared to other weavers on the list Lang Dulay’s story is more focus on her, her tribe, the history of her work, and how she passed it down to the younger generation of T’boli women. In Lang Dulay’s story we can see how dedicated she is to not only help her family, but her tribe as well by dedicating her remaining days to passing down her knowledge to continuously preserve their identity and history as the T’boli tribe.

How did you come up with the theme?

Red, White, and Black are the palette found within our site, which are colors derived from the primary colors of an authentic T'nalak fabric. To put this touch of colors to the overall theme could give significant appreciation to the T'nalak itself, weavers, and to the T'boli tribe. Furthermore, it is made to pique people’s interest as they acquire knowledge about Lang Dulay.

How are the tasks distributed?

In order to execute this site distinctively creative, our team have underwent several meetings to distribute the tasks fairly. We provided the list of tasks that need to be executed, and we volunteered based on our skills and capabilities. To sum it all up, we have 5 task to be fulfilled; three different researchers for three different topics to cover Lang Dulay's memoir, a website designer, and a sort of social media influencer/coordinator.
