T'boli Represent
Lang Dulay received the Gawad sa Manlilikha ng Bayan Awardee or also known as (GAMABA). It is granted by the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) and presented by the President to Indeginous artisans who revealed the finest craftsmanship for their specific artistic skills.
The public gave their attributes to her as she preserved people’s tradition of weaving named T’nalak which is a dyed fabric made from refined abaca fiber. Furthermore in 1998, she was bestowed the National Living Treasures Award. In that similar year, her works were featured in an exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution in the United States involved in the Philippine Independence Centennial celebrations. Moreover, she acquired this award because she exhibited the preservation of their culture and showcased delicate craftsmanship when it comes to abaca fibers.
